My Dad was a great Christian and a wonderful Dad and really showed Christ’s love to people, with his smile and good cheer. He was a great mechanic. He helped others and was the first one to offer help when others needed it. To correct the obituary, he served in the Atlantic Theater of Operations, involved in the North Africa, Sicily and Italy invasions as well as the Invasion of Southern France. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Peckville, PA. He had his faults as we all do but was the best Dad a boy could have and truly a great man. I really wish he were alive now to see his 4 grandchildren, Calvin John, Alekczander, Anastasia and Ezekiel. God Bless you, Dad. I miss you very much.

My name is Patricia Howardell and I am the widow of Alan Howardell who was in the class of '63'
Here is the eulogy I wrote for Alan and read at his interment. It is lengthy but provides a very detailed history.
Alan was blessed with many facets during his short life. He was an only sonâ
Bobby, you were the best brother anyone could ask for. You fought cancer with a great spirit but now rest in God’s hands. I missed growing old with you.
We have just heard that our classmate, Robert Kloss, passed away yesterday. The Class of 1949 will miss this classmate & we send our condolences to his widow, Ellie, & his family....
"Kitty" Simmons Wight Koerner passed away on January 28, 2016 in Manahawkin, NJ. A 1948 RHS graduate, lived in Rahway until 1992 when she moved to Waretown, NJ. Mother of Susan Wight Hutler, Jimmer Wight, Harry Wight, Bill Wight, and Tracy Wight. Grandmother of 13 and great-grandmother of 6. A wonderful mother, wife and friend. We loved her deeply and she will remain in our hearts forever. We miss you Mom, our love forever.
I came across an undated Christmas card that Kitity had written to my mother Janey Case Weaver. My mother died on Sept. 11, 2008 so that card made its way from my mother's in Rahway to my house in Brick and THEN over here to my "temporary" dwelling in Mantoloking.I feel its a serendipitous discovery on this, the eve of my mother's 88th birthday. Our mothers were friends for decades.THEIR mothers were FRIENDS.I STILL have a vision of your parents' spirited singing of a duet at the Ilderan Outing Club annual cabaret. My mother relished her conversations with Kitty.I think it's because Kitty had such zest.
someday mom, i will be with you again, you don't know how much I miss and love you. but I know God is taking care of you now, better then i could ever have. if you knew my mom please leave a comment thank you

I say good-bye to my best friend and loving sister Carol Mills, who was murdered at age 52, through the neglect of the Raritan Bay Hospital of Perth Amboy, N.J.
She was overdosed by a sick nurse of the Raritan Bay Hospital of Perth Amboy (combination of Daulaudid and Ativan) was reported to the N.J Poison Control Department, day of her death.
Dick was one of my first pals at St. Mary's Grammar. As buddies, we were playmates, and later members of the Rahway High Swimming Team. After High School Graduation our oaths diverged and we left our boyhood for separate paths. In reading of Dick's life and seeing the many tributes of the students he so profoundly affected I experienced pangs of sorrow and regret at losing track of such a fine man. As lfe often has it, we leave a friend a young man only to appreciate his friendship many years later, bitter sweet. I couldn't pass on this opportunity to remember Dick here.
Janice is in the middle of the picture....From L-R Barbara Miller, Janice Glagola Price & Janet O'Donnell Sabba....at our day after reunion at the VFW Rahway NJ for pizza.....Gone but not forgotten.
Jo and I met in Miami Fl when we were thrown together as room mates during our 3 week
training for EAL...We continued to be great friends for many years, sharing laughs and
she always had a smile. We traveled to Europe together and she was the best travel companion a person could ever want. I truely miss her and wish we could have kept up the
friendship however her marriage cut that short since her husband took hold of her and more
or less took control. Jo where ever you are know that I truly miss you and can still see you
with that bobbing head of yours going....next time I am in Belmar I will stop in at The Harmony [or what ever the current name is ] and have a drink to you and all those wonderful years.

Nancy was a wonderful woman, who lite up a room with her smile. She graduated from Jersey City State in 1968 and became a Flight Attendant for American Airlines. She became a "California girl" and lived in La Jolla, Ca. She loved skiing , biking, the beach, traveling, everything and anything as long as she wasn't sitting still.
Jesus welcomed her home, earlier than scheduled, during the American DC-10 crash in Chicago on May 27, 1979... She is still missed by all those, whose lives she touched.
Nancy will always be loved and missed. Thanks for being our shining/guiding all these years.
